Princess Anna Splashscreen

Took me way too long to draw this damn thing. Anyway, I finished this wile I was still at Albuquerque and uploaded it at the airport.

This is 1 of 5 splash screen templates for RP data of all my OC ponies, as well as my friends who represent them. This one in particular, Princess Anna, is a sequel to Vibi Anna also known as my "Shang Tsung" pony, after consuming the soul of Princess Luna as you may well tell by the hair. I think I might have made the armor too big though...


I had made an earlier version of Princess Anna without much success and had went from a Mad Pony personality to a rather bitter individual. In the Fanfic, Vibi Anna as an earth pony accuses Princess Celestia of using her as a weapon in exchange for granting her unicorn powers which relied on the consumption of pony's souls and eventually causing her to murder her own lover Joshua. She sought revenge by teaming up with a rebellion against Princess Celestia's Equestria which lead her to consume Princes Luna's soul which ultimately ended her constant thirst of pony souls, as well as a "repayment" for Joshua's loss. Although Vibi, now known as Princess Vibi Anna (or Anna for short), got her revenge, she still mourns the loss of Joshua knowing that despite all she did, she will still never see him again...

Allowing critiques once again! As always, I would like specific references to tools and techniques used to further improve. I used Sai Paint tool and Photoshop for this particular piece. As I said on my previous deviation, I'm an utter noob when it comes to backgrounds. This one I used 2 layers of crayons. Any suggestions about the character design or the background is more than welcomed. Once again with specific tools and ways to use them. As for the cutie mark, I am considering a change, but I don't know what yet. The explosive sign is part of a signature power of Vibi's which pretty much obliterates a target with a concentration of magic...
